Factory Robtic Automation System

Factory robotic automation is based on the application of computers. It involves various technologies. These technologies are applied by persons highly qualified in automation engineering. The technologies involves in factory automation are motor control and drive system, machine vision system, programmable logic control system and manufacturing executive systems. These are also known as automation tools without which automation is not possible.

robotic automationFactory robotic automation facilitates creativity and perspective to implement robot technology. It makes many manufacturing processes possible without human interference. Automation integrates logic, power, information technologies and process into one drive system. Automaton applied in the factory uses machine vision system. It uses robotic machine handling process to perform identification, orientation and decoding tasks. The programmable logic control system one the important automation tools facilitates the successful implementation of the automation control system

The robotic palletizer is capable of producing an infinite variety of robotic palletizing patterns. The patterns are driven by your shipping needs and can be varied based on the product being palletized. There is need to unify the business with plant floor system in the present global scenario. The factory automation makes it possible. It also provides flow of information to instruct people and machines to deliver the product as per requirement.

Spacificatiopn of Depalletizing System

Bulk Container Depalletizers provide an efficient means to sort or "single file" containers from bulk layered pallets onto a conveyor or conveying system for use in high speed automated packaging systems. There are essentially two types of depalletizer systems : "High Level" and "Low Level." This refers to the height at which the pallet is positioned during the unloading process.

Depalletizing SystemsA High Level Depalletizer lifts a full pallet to the desired height to permit the container positioner to sweep the product into an accumulation table. The machine removes separators, top frames, tier sheets etc automatically. Once a layer from the pallet has been transferred to the accumulation table, the machine raises the pallet to the next layer.

A Low Level Depalletizing system remains at floor level throughout the unloading process. An important consideration for plant design is that the depalletized containers can exit the machine at any elevation required to suit production needs. The machine automatically removes each layer from the pallet and raises/lowers the pallet to the required level to transfer containers onto the accumulation table, one tier at a time. As with the High Level system, the machine automatically removes separators, top frames, tier sheets, discharges the empty pallet and introduces the next pallet from the magazine automatically.

Robotic palletizing has become the method of choice for manufacturers who need to maintain flexibility to deal with market and product changes. By placing a robot at the heart of your palletizing system, you get a fast, efficient device with few limitations.

Robotic Pool Cleaner

So you might have a swimming pool at your home, or you were just wondering how on earth those robotic pool cleaners work, such as the Aquabot pool cleaner or the Dolphin. Well wonder no more!! Infect the pool robots have a pretty simple method of work. Robotic Automation Most pool cleaning robots have a drive motor a pump and a processor. The pump is drawing the water from the bottom of the robot where the intake valves are located, Robotic Automation through the filter and out to the top outlet of the cleaner. During that process debris and dust that are on the pool surfaces, being vacuumed into the filter section. Particles that are large enough stay inside the filter unit until cycle is done and disposal is being removed.

The drive motor is made to give the pool cleaner a directional movement but it does not determine the rout. The drive motor is driving the drive belts and the drive belts are driving the wheels or wheel tubes depending on the model. The processor is made to determine the cycle time of the motors to a specific direction. The more advanced models have more advanced processors in which it remembers the pool's size and shape and determines the most efficient route to clean the entire pool. The more time goes by the faster the technology changes but still the concept is the same. the newer units will have better routing systems, and are becoming more efficient and would clean the pool much faster.

Why Own an Automatic Cat Litter Box?

Cat owners are always looking for ways to enhance the methods used to make life more comfortable for their pets. In the case of an automatic cat litter box, there is the chance to make things easier for both pet and owner. Here are a couple of ways that the automatic litter box for cats can be a good thing. Just as the name implies, the litter box has a feature that automatically takes care of depositing your cat waste in a compartment or tray where it is effectively out of sight and out of mind. Most of these automatic trays do not resemble your typical litter box so much as an open ended tray that sits on top of a rectangular cardboard box. Also, these automatic boxes do not use standard cat litter. Instead they rely on selica gel crystals, which resemble the filler most people use in the bottom of an aquarium. The crystals do not clump but they do absorb the moisture and allow it to evaporate, which helps to keep the odor down.

That is because the automatic litter box is already a modern-day modification of the old box. However, several cat owners still prefer the old cat litter box for many reasons. One, being that it does not require electricity, thus, it would function even if there is a power interruption. Second, the traditional box is economical and cheaper. It is also less costly to maintain. The traditional cat box consumes less space compared to the modernized version, and can be easily bought in the market. In contrast, there are far more advantages in getting the automatic cat litter box. For one, because it is electrically operated, there is no need for manual efforts in maintaining the device. For instance, the traditional box needs to be cleaned of waste clumps at least every other day. The automatic cat litter box does not require often scooping of waste clumps to separate waste and clean litter. It is recommended that the owner of the automatic version just replenish the litter every 30 days. The automatic box de-clutters itself of the waste clumps consisting of urine and stool. There is a special sifting process performed by the machine that makes the task for itself rather than needing the pet owner to scoop out those clumps.

Automatic Case Cutters Such sifting process automatically starts once the machine detects the need for de-clumping. Some owners fear that the machine may start the sifting process while the cat is still inside, making the elimination activity traumatic for the cat. But the truth is, the box is smart that it can detect the presence of the cat prior to the sifting process. The automatic cat litter box may be more costly compared to the traditional counterpart. But the savings the pet owner would generate from using the machine. The device does not require too much electric consumption, and the notion that it consumes a significant amount of power to raise your utility bill is a misconception. There is also no need to constantly replace the litter because you are advised to do the activity at least once a month.

The automatic litter box also guarantees that the cat's waste would not produce unwanted smell that may spoil the ventilation of the house. Pick and Place Systems You can also be able to travel for a few days without worrying that the cat would create too much waste once you're gone.

Robotic pick and place - the ultimate challenge

RTS, the innovative UK provider of vision-guided Robotic Palletizing system to the food industry, developed a system to pick Poppadums in order to automate a heavily labour-intensive process.

Could a robot pick up a poppadum without breaking it? Could it pick up four in succession and put them down together? Could it do this at 100 picks per minute, 24 hours per day, seven days per week with a very low breakage rate? It might seem impossible, but RTS Flexible Systems have proved it can be done - and that the installed system can deliver a healthy Return on Investment in less than two years, by significantly reducing labour costs over three shifts and increasing production capacity RTS, the innovative UK provider of vision-guided robotic automation pick and place systems to the food industry, developed the system in response to a challenge to replace a heavily labour-intensive process.

Individual poppadums were manually Pick and Place Systems , having been delivered from a frying machine by conveyor, then stacked into piles of four.

The piles then needed to be manually picked again and placed into a vacuum forming machine.

Using a combination of RTS Pixcell vision systems and ABB Flexpicker robots, the RTS system is able to collect four poppadums one by one from the conveyor and place them for packaging in the vacuum forming machine.

It is also capable of handling multiple product variants for variety packs.

The key to the solution is the end-effector technology, which enables the poppadums to be handled extremely gently.

Also key was the ability of the RTS vision software to determine which poppadums can be picked successfully from the conveyor by instructing the robot to avoid any that are on top of, or overlapped with another.

About Label Applicators

Label applicators are machines used to dispense, apply, or print and apply labels to packages. Machines range from simple manual dispensing to fully automated print and apply high production units. Dispenser only label applicators are the method of choice when precise label placement is unnecessary and volume is low.

A simple, low-cost electric label dispenser is all that's needed for this type of application. The dispenser supplies a label that has been partially peeled from the webbing. The operator takes the label and applies it to the product.

A sensor indicates that the label has been removed and advances the roll to partially dispense the next label. The webbing is wound onto a roll as the Label applicator sare dispensed. The speed of the operator and how the product is handled determine the rate of application.

With a semi-automatic applicator, the operator places the product into position and triggers the unit to apply the label. The product is removed and the cycle repeated. Triggering the Label applicators is usually done with a foot switch so the hands remain free to handle the product. A palm button, photo eye, or proximity switch are other triggering options.
